About John Wickson
|
JOHN WICKSON, born in Toronto and educated at Ryerson Poytechnical Institute,
brings a wealth of personal and practical experience to the industrial arena.
He has worked on many successful projects in the steel, paper, plastic and
automotive industries.
John has provided customer service, product support and training for
organizations such as GM, Exova, Rolls-Royce, Redpath Sugar, GE, Dofasco, Stelco, Algoma Steel, Ontario Hydro,
Russel Metals, Johnson Controls and Island Paper. He has extensive training and
safety experience within the construction and manufacturing industries.
As a Technical and Safety Training Manager for a leading overhead crane
corporation, John was responsible for the design and delivery of a number of
technical and safety courses. These courses were provided for their service
managers, technicians, crane inspectors and sales persons. He has taught
Overhead Crane Operation and Safety Courses to many customers across Canada and
parts of the USA. As well as on the job safety courses, he has facilitated in
house and for customers, specialized courses such as Basic Overhead Crane
Technology, Overhead Crane Maintenance and Inspection, and Crane Inverter
Operation.
John has completed many professional development and education courses in his
field. He has a Bachelor of Electrical Technology Degree (B. Tech) from Ryerson
Polytechnical Institute and a Post Graduate education in International Trade.
He also has had instruction in Teaching Adults. John has a great sense of
humour and has demonstrated strengths in planning, organizing and problem
solving.
